Happy Anniversary!– to us

Jonathan and I were married four years ago Thursday. Work obligations meant we weren’t able to spend the day together but Jonathan let me know he was thinking of me via flower delivery.

Our anniversary celebration was postponed until yesterday. We spent a relaxing day at Greenfield Village. Since we are members there we didn’t feel the need to cover the whole grounds. Instead, we just enjoyed a few highlights, such as a ride on the carousel and a stop at Sir John Bennett’s Sweet Shop for lemonade and an apricot-oatmeal bar (a village must). After that we lounged by the pond to watch the turtles coming to sun themselves on a popular log. Turtles and humans alike were appreciative of the beautiful weather.

Jonathan loves to watch the glass blowing demonstrations so we braved the heat in order to see a gorgeous mosaic vase being crafted.

We ended our day with a nice dinner at Cousino’s Navy Bistro where they have the best Navy Bean and Seafood Chowder.  A mini-wedding cake from our favorite bakery, Petit Four– Patisserie and Cafe was waiting at home for dessert. Yum!
