Amy & Andrew the day after

Jonathan and I have known Andrew for several years and we met Amy at a wedding they attended and we photographed this summer.  Their wedding was set for October and of course they already had a photographer booked but they loved the guest book we had designed for the bride and groom so much they asked if we would do photos of them the day after their wedding.  We asked if they would be up for anything.  Andrew’s only requirement was that they wanted photos on the beach at Maumee Bay State Park, where he proposed to Amy.  So we planned to do sunset shots at the beach but asked them if they would meet us at a different location before hand.  We have been looking at this abandoned rail car for three years now just waiting for the right opportunity to do photos there.  I love the results of the beautiful Amy in her pretty white dress against the backdrop of grime and graffiti.  Amy was a terrific model and quite willingly did everything we asked of her (and don’t worry the dress was not ruined).  We had a great time at the beach.  Jonathan and I photographed furiously as the sun dropped.  We wanted to play with some lighting techniques so we took Amy and Andrew downtown to The Docks for some nighttime shots.  I love how cool Andrew looks in these.  As usual it was very difficult to pick just a few favorites.
